We are absolutely delighted to have been named as finalists in the 2023 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in partnership with Ulster Bank. While we have won many specialist tourism awards (including UK Tour Guide of the Year), this is the first time we have been shortlisted for a business award so we are pretty chuffed to say the least!

The Belfast Telegraph Business Awards are now in their 23rd year, and they attract entries from across all sectors and sizes of business in Northern Ireland. As well as 17 categories shortlisted, an Outstanding Business of the Year award will also be awarded to one of the category winners, and there’s a Lifetime Achievement Award on offer too.

Shortlisted for the Tourism and Hospitality Company of the Year in the Belfast Telegraph Business AwardsWe have been shortlisted for Tourism & Hospitality Company of the Year sponsored by Ulster University Business School. This is a new category and the judges were looking for proof of innovation and sustainability as well as business growth.

We’ve been working really hard on these aspects of the business – we are rated ‘Outstanding’ (5 Stars) by TourismNI, and we recently achieved the Green Tourism ‘Silver Award’ and the InnovateNI ‘Gold Level Innovator’ award.

But of course the heart and soul of our business is our guides, so huge thanks to our core team of guides – Paul Donnelly, James Ellson, Gabe Nelson and Steve Malone – for making DC Tours what it is.

The award ceremony takes place on the 27th April at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast, so time to get the tuxedoes out! And good luck to all the finalists across the 17 categories.
